Trent James, a favorite at the Chicago Magic Lounge and the 2020 Artist-in-Residence, is back on the Harry Blackstone Cabaret stage with his new one-person show, Static Magic. This show features amazing magic, comedy, and stories about growing up as a second-generation magician.
Trent adds a fresh spin on an art form that's been around for centuries. You won't find him pulling rabbits out of top hats or a dramatic spotlight forcing the audience to take him seriously. He prefers a much more casual approach, combining sleight of hand magic with humor and intimate connection.

The evening starts with close-up magic performed at your table by our talented house magicians. Between performances, you'll have time to socialize, place orders with our friendly waitstaff, and soak in the ambiance of the Harry Blackstone Cabaret Theater™.
About the Artist
Trent James is quickly becoming one of the top magicians working today. At a very young age, he received over twenty awards recognizing his skill in magic, including being the youngest recipient of the prestigious Milbourne Christopher Award, a distinction previously given to David Copperfield and Penn and Teller. Since then, Trent has built a career traveling the world, performing at colleges, comedy clubs, corporate events, luxury cruise ships, and headlining iconic venues such as The Chicago Magic Lounge and The Magic Castle in Hollywood. No matter the circumstances, Trent James will make you fall in love with magic.

Static Magic will be presented on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. from January 8 to March 26, 2025. Run time 80 minutes-including a 10-minute intermission. Tickets are $42.50 (Main Floor) and $47.50 (Front Row).
The Harry Blackstone Cabaret features an unobstructed view from every section.
The cabaret-style seating, with elevated rail and banquette areas on the main floor, allows maximum access to view the stage and enjoy a cocktail. This also means you and your party may share a table with other guests.
